BohraEverAfter ("we", "us") is a matchmaking app for the Dawoodi Bohra community. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the BohraEverAfter app and website, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Rules.
1. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account: your mobile number (for one-time-password sign-in) or, if you choose Google sign-in, your Google account email address.
- Profile: first name, date of birth, gender, height, city, watan, jamaat, countries you've lived in, education, school, profession, marital status, whether you have or want children, what you're looking for, your "about me", interests and prompt answers.
- Photos: the profile photos you upload.
- Verification: a selfie, and optionally a photo of your ITS / E-Jamaat card, a photo in topi or rida, and a government ID. These are used only to confirm your identity and community membership.
- Messages: chats with members you've matched with.
- Reports: anything you tell us when you report another member.
Information collected when you use the app
- Location: if you allow it, your phone's location is used once to find your city. We store the city name, never your exact coordinates.

- Purchases: the plan you bought, the amount and the date. Card and UPI details are handled by Google Play; we never see them.
- Device and technical data: app version, device type and crash information, collected by our service providers to keep the app working.
2. How we use it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. What other members see
Signed-in members can see your public profile: first name, age (not your birth date), city, watan, height, education, profession, your answers about intentions, your about me, interests, prompts, photos, and whether you're verified. You can hide your marital status, children and intentions answers from your profile.
Other members never see your phone number, email, date of birth, exact location or verification documents. Messages are visible only to you and the person you're chatting with, and to our safety team if a conversation is reported.
4. Who we share it with

5. Where it's stored and for how long
Your data is stored on Google Cloud servers in Mumbai, India (asia-south1), and is encrypted in transit and at rest. We keep it while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, photos and verification documents within 30 days, except information we must keep by law (for example payment records) or to resolve a safety report.
